common questions

Before you reach out - a few quick answers.

If your question isn’t covered here, just send a message above. We’ll get back within a business day.

How quickly can I get a quote?

L
K

Most quotes come back within two to three business days once we have the information we need. Auto and renters can often be faster. Complex commercial programs can take longer as we shop multiple carriers and structure the program correctly.

We’ll always give you a realistic timeline upfront, not a sales line.

Do you charge a fee for quotes or consultations?

L
K

No. Quotes, coverage reviews, and consultations are free. We’re compensated by the carrier when we place a policy, which means there’s no cost to you for the advice itself.

Can I keep my current insurance carrier and just switch agents?

L
K

Often, yes. It’s called a broker of record change and it’s a simple paperwork process. If we already have an appointment with your carrier, we can take over servicing your policy without any disruption to your coverage. We’ll walk you through whether that’s the best move for your situation.

How does switching to David & Company actually work?

L
K

We begin with a thorough assessment of your current insurance program. Rather than simply shopping the market, we look for ways to improve coverage, address potential gaps, and enhance overall program performance. Once we understand your needs, we develop recommendations and evaluate carrier options that best support your business.

What if I need to file a claim?

L
K

Call us first, even if it’s outside business hours. We’ll point you to the right carrier number to get the claim started immediately, then we get involved on your behalf to make sure things move along and you’re treated fairly. Advocacy at claim time is the whole point of working with an independent agent.

What areas do you serve?

L
K

We’re based in York County, Pennsylvania, and serve clients throughout PA, MD, and beyond. While many are in York, Lancaster, and the Mid-Atlantic region, we’re able to write business in most states.

If you’re outside our footprint, don’t hesitate to reach out. There’s a good chance we can help.
